NMS attended Bioscience – Groundbreaking Research & Diagnostics

Our project lead, Eduarde Rohner, and his colleague Helena Lundquist (GU Ventures) attended  event organised by Life Science Sweden and taking place at GoCo Health Innovation City.

The event covered a selected mélange of topics and research. A point of attention to the current geopolitical situation was often made and the call to strengthen (or establish) trusted partnerships could be felt.

In addition, the event also showcased:

🔸New fighting weapons against a forseable crisis in antimicrobial resistance, presented by Fredrik Almqvist (QureTech Bio AB) and Martin Andersson (Chalmers University of Technology)

🔸new hope for diabetic patients (and more) with a first-in-class drug developed by Abarceo Pharma AB and enjoyably presented by their CEO, Adam Bruce

🔸interesting developments in the current workflow processes at AstraZeneca, thanks to the didactic presentation of Julie Williams.

🔸the current financial climate for the Swedish life science sector is starting to look better, Filip Einarsson, Redeye AB

🔸Exosomes interest is increasing and we have only scratched the surface of their potential applications. Nicely shared enthusiasm by field pioneer, Jan Lötvall and Søren Melsing CEO of EXOCURE SWEDEN AB.

🔸Mikael Kubista giving the last talk of the day, sharing words of wisdom in-between showcasing many potential utilisations of enhancing sequencing resolution and biomarker detections with a special mention to Simsen Diagnostics and Precision Bioanalytics
